Do you have a parent, friend, or colleague who is a senior and who would benefit from learning about estate planning tools? If so, the South Arm Community Centre and CPABC are hosting an informative and fun seniors event on September 24 to learn about estate planning.
We are pleased to offer this session in Punjabi, Cantonese, and English.
Participants will learn why every adult should have an estate plan and how to create a plan to distribute assets, during life or upon death. We will also have a citizen services specialist from Service Canada join us to share useful services specifically for seniors including:
- the Canada Pension Plan;
- Old Age Security;
- the newly launched Canadian Dental Care Plan; and
- the Benefits Finder tool.

Patrick Caffrey is a Partner at LT Wealth, a division of Raymond James, with more than 12 years of experience in the wealth management industry. He has been recognized as a Top 40 under 40 award nominee by the Investment Industry Association of Canada for his personal and professional achievements. Patrick regularly publishes articles on Financial Planning and hosts regular webinars on all of the latest developments in tax and finance.
Punjabi: Mandeep Tung CPA, CA
Mandeep has over 20 years of experience in accounting and tax. She obtained her CA designation in 2008 while working at KPMG in Ontario. Mandeep has also completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Taxation Course.
Mandeep provides assurance, accounting, personal and corporate tax planning and compliance, and business advisory services to an array of owner-managed businesses. She believes in providing practical advice in a professional, accurate and timely manner that is tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. Mandeep prides herself on being a quarterback for her clients and is often the first phone call they make when making any important decisions.
When Mandeep isn’t working, she enjoys camping, hiking, and staying active with her husband, two kids, and her dog – a very energetic Hungarian Vizsla.

Vivien is currently the Finance Manager at Better Business Bureau of Mainland BC. She has been a CPA financial literacy volunteer for a few years and has delivered presentations on tax strategies, planning for retirement, savings, etc, to various organizations. Vivien lives with her husband and two kids in Richmond and enjoys baking and walking.
Jennifer Chun, CPA
Jennifer Chun is the Controller at MediaValet, a software company in the digital asset management space. She has years of experience in the software industry, having worked at Incognito Software and Hootsuite previously. Beyond her professional roles, Jennifer is the voice behind jenthinks.com, a blog where she shares her CPA journey, personal finance tips, and career advice with fellow accountants and finance professionals.
