CPA Financial Literacy Session: Fraud Protection

In this session, participants will learn how to better understand fraud and gain insights into various methods and techniques to safeguard against fraudulent activities. The session will cover real life scenarios, providing practical tips and information to enhance awareness and preparedness. The goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to identify, prevent, and respond to potential fraud, ultimately contributing to a more secure and informed community.

About the Speaker

Ann Kumpula CPA, CA 

Ann has been an active member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (CPABC) since 1988. She articled with Coopers & Lybrand in Vancouver and has a BBA from SFU. She is currently the Credit Manager for EMBERS Staffing, an award-winning non profit social enterprise labour agency, which has their head office in the Woodward's Building in downtown Vancouver and additional branches in Surrey, New Westminster and Abbotsford.
