On February 22, 2023, CPABC was proud to celebrate and welcome 10 new Fellows. The honourees, who included the recipient of CPABC’s 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award, were recognized at a reception held at the Vancouver Club, which featured a short video presentation and plenty of opportunities for networking.
CPABC President and CEO Lori Mathison, FCPA, FCGA, LLB, welcomed everyone to the event, remarking that it was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones as well. She noted that CPABC’s annual event in celebration of new Fellows was held virtually during the pandemic, and the return to an in-person event was a welcome opportunity “to connect with each other, catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and all around, a great way to welcome our new FCPAs into Fellowship.”
The FCPA designation formally recognizes those members who have rendered exceptional services to the profession, whose achievements in their careers and/or whose contributions in the community have earned them distinction and brought honour to the profession.
Approximately 100 people were in attendance to celebrate the honourees.
