A letter of support provides personal insights and examples of the nominee’s significant contributions and leadership. It helps the Member Recognition Committee evaluate the impact of the nominee’s achievements on the CPA profession and the broader community.
If a nomination is unsuccessful, the nominator will be informed as the nominee may not be aware that they have been nominated.
The FCPA designation honors exceptional career achievements, service to the profession and community, while the Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates ongoing, significant contributions made after receiving fellowship status, recognizing accomplishments over the entirety of the nominee’s career.

The volunteer activity does not have to be within CPABC; it may include volunteering involvement such as serving on Standards Boards. The goal is that the involvement must add substantive value to, or advance, the profession.
