Bruce is a senior partner at BDO Canada and the firm’s market leader for Greater Vancouver and Western Canada. In addition to leading the Vancouver tax practice to double-digit growth and expanding the team locally, he continues to help build BDO’s profile in the Western Canadian market and add exceptional talent—including through the expansion of the business in Saskatchewan.
His expert guidance has long benefited Canada’s mining sector as well. As the national mining industry leader for EY Canada from 2012 to 2017, Bruce advised some of the country’s largest mining companies. He also raised the sector’s profile as a member of the industry advisory council for UBC’s Keevil Institute of Mining and as a board member for the Mining Association of Canada. Today, he continues to support the sector by sharing his insights on a variety of topics, including the power of data analytics and generative AI in mining.
Bruce also provides sound governance to the broader community. His many past contributions include serving as a director of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and as a board member for the Coquitlam Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association and the Vancouver Aquarium. Currently, he volunteers as a board and governance committee member for the Kelowna General Hospital.
“Bruce’s proactive approach to leadership has fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration, enabling our team to navigate complex challenges and deliver exceptional client service. His contributions extend beyond the firm; he actively provides guidance and support to foster growth and development at various community organizations.”
