Matthew (Matt) Stam, CPA

Matt became a partner at LLT in Chilliwack in 2019, just two years after obtaining his CPA designation. LLT has since seen a 57% increase in revenues and a 48% increase in staffing, thanks in part to Matt’s expansion of the firm’s CPA Pre-Approved Program and his efforts to enhance its marketing and recruitment strategies. In addition, Matt spearheads LLT’s tax and technology teams and has successfully implemented new systems to improve efficiency and enhance client service.

He also strengthens the profession. As an external advisor to the University of the Fraser Valley’s School of Business, Matt raises awareness of the CPA designation, provides guidance on curriculum development, and gives presentations to business students on the value of a career in accounting.

He has made a significant impact in the community as well, lending his expertise to Ruth and Naomi’s Mission to help strengthen the non-profit’s offerings and ensure its long-term sustainability. During his eight-year tenure as treasurer, the non-profit’s budget increased seven-fold, its staff tripled, and its services expanded to include social housing, addiction recovery, and daycare facilities.

“Matt exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding CPA, consistently helping clients achieve success and make informed financial decisions. Feedback from his clients is uniformly positive, reflecting his dedication and expertise. His outgoing personality fosters strong connections with both clients and staff, and he embodies LLT’s core values in all his interactions.”
