Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter - Coldest Night of the Year Walk Community
The Coldest Night of the Year is an annual winter family friendly walk to support local charities serving people in need. Registrants can choose to walk either 2K or 5K and raise funds to support our chosen organization Cloverdale Community Kitchen. The team will be walking in the Surrey Cloverdale Location.
Cloverdale Community Kitchen is a non-for-profit organization that offers meals to the homeless and also provides emergency weather shelter and clothes to those in need.
Registration: Registration for the event can be done at the below link by signing up for the CPABC SLND Chapter. Once you click on the link, the first step is to join the team (CPABC) by clicking join the team on the top right panel. Once you are part of the team, you can donate and also sign up for 2km or 5 km walk. Donors will receive a tax receipt for donations of $20+.
Schedule:
3:00 pm: Meet Check-in
4:00 pm: Muster Gather for Opening Remarks
4:30 pm: Move Send-off
6:00 pm: Munch Light meal served
7:00 pm: Mosey Goodbye + see you in 2026!
Cost: Free! Children and family members are more than welcome. Thus, while setting up the registration form, we would like to know separately how many adults and children, a member is going to bring along. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Pets are not permitted for the CNOY walk, except for approved and trained service animals.
Route Details: The team will meet at the start address provided, There will be maps and signage detailing the route depending on whether the member will be doing the 5km walk or 2km walk. There will be some rest stations along the way for an opportunity to refresh with yummy snacks.
What to Bring: Cell phone for emergencies and to contact the Chapter Team leads for any questions, good waterproof shoes or boots for walking (recommended depending on the weather), Warm coat and gloves, extra snacks if you like, and water
