Pacific Northwest Chapter - Local Economic Development Series: Why Northwest BC is the Place to Be - Terrace Event Recap

On May 14th, the Chapter kicked off their return to hosting in person events. Members and Chapter volunteers attended a luncheon in Terrace at the Whitespot restaurant. It was a time for reconnection and meeting new members after a five plus year hiatus. The luncheon was filled with laughter and great conversation.
The event was the first in a four-part Economic Development series planned for the Pacific Northwest. Mike Pucci, Lands and Economic Development Manager for the City of Terrace, set the bar high by passionately sharing history of the development of Terrace. He talked about the challenges faced along the way, mixed with the goals that the city has for growing and meeting the demands of being the northwest service center.
Yvonne Koerner, CPA, CMA the recently appointed Chapter Chair, expressed gratitude for the willingness of members to find time in their schedules to actively engagement with the chapter. The next stop is Kitimat, BC, with Smithers and Prince Rupert planned for later in the summer.
