CPABC CFE Marks Celebration Event Recap
On August 26, 2021, CPABC in collaboration with CPABC chapters across the province co-hosted a virtual CFE Marks Celebration for successful May 2021 CFE writers.
The much anticipated CFE marks were announced on August 13. In BC, 307 candidates passed this rigorous 3-day exam which is an important milestone in their journey to become a CPA. Of these candidates, 118 participated in the celebratory event by either registering for the commemorative gift or attending the live online event.
Attendees Zoomed in from various places across BC to watch the live event which commenced with congratulatory remarks by CPABC Board Chair Karen Horcher FCPA, FCGA and CPABC CEO and President Lori Mathison FCPA, FCGA. During the event, candidates were able to break out into small groups to connect with other local candidates and members including CPABC staff and several chapter leaders who were in attendance. The event finale featured entertainment by the talented Dueling Pianos - Vancouver who “tickled the ivories” with songs requested by the online audience.
All May 2021 CFE passers will have another opportunity to celebrate their success at the upcoming virtual convocation on November 9. Watch your email for more information.
To all the CFE passers, congratulations again and good luck with your career. And be sure to get involved in your profession by joining a forum, attending CPABC events or volunteering your time with a CPABC committee, task force, chapter or as a recruitment, financial literacy or tax clinic volunteer, just to name a few opportunities available. There are many different ways to be #CPAproud.
