Burnaby/New Westminster Chapter - Walk with the Mayor Event Recap

On June 30, the Burnaby/New Westminster Chapter organized a small group of attendees for the monthly Walk and Chat with the Mayor event at the Christine Sinclair Community Centre. Joined by Mayor Hurley, the event was supported by the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society. The gathering, which included around 20 CPA members, students, and candidates, commenced with a warm-up session led by the mayor, followed by a group walk that fostered camaraderie and conversation among participants.

Post-walk, attendees were treated to coffee and pancakes courtesy of the firefighters. The event was marked by a sense of community spirit and gratitude towards Mayor Hurley for his approachability and engagement with residents and associations! The walk provided an ideal setting for social interaction and sharing.

Next year the Chapter’s hope to have even more attend this event!
