Why did you want to become a Member Ambassador?
It allows me share my experiences as an immigrant and CPA journey with the next generation of potential CPAs.
What have you gained from your Member Ambassador experience? This can include both personal and professional examples.
I have gained more than I have expected. The experience has allowed me to be exposed to the views, understanding and engaging demographic of individuals which are usually that I don’t to be around in both my personal and professional.
Outside of your work and being a CPABC Member Ambassador, what are you passionate about?
I like to spend time with family and friends in travel, movies, foods, and hanging out. If time permit, volunteering in the local and neighboring communities in social causes.

Why did you want to become a Campus Ambassador?
There were many reasons why I decided to become a Campus Ambassador for CPABC. I realized that I wanted to alter my timid personality, as well as connect and network with other people to learn about their experiences. Additionally, I was able to be in a position to assist my fellow classmates in attaining their goals as CPA's. Thus, when there was an opportunity that I could volunteer as a Campus Ambassador for CPABC to sharpen my communication skills along with promoting a professional organization within my field of study, I took it!
What have you gained from your Campus Ambassador experience? This can include both personal and professional examples.
In my role as a Campus Ambassador, I was able to improve in public speaking over Zoom and in-person, leading and facilitating conversations and most importantly a big confidence boost in my day-to-day lifestyle. Being able to practice speaking in info sessions to other CPA ambassadors, students and panellists you don't know was a very good experience!
Why do you want to pursue the CPA designation?
Growing up, I have always had an obsession with organization, working with numbers and using critical thinking to solve problems, which motivated me to pursue a career in accounting. I decided to pursue my CPA designation after learning about countless career paths that open up when you become a CPA. I want to become a business consultant or start my own business relating to consulting on how to improve businesses.
Outside of your education and career goals, what are you passionate about?
Outside of my education and career goals, I'm passionate about health and wellness and how nutrition can positively affect physical and emotional well-being. I realized how much of a difference being healthy and active impacted me. Being physically healthy improves my mental state, the energy I have and the confidence I feel in my day-to-day activities. Recently this inspired me to take on new athletic hobbies such as swimming and cycling, in addition to badminton!
